Undo a tweak, or roll back the one-click run

To undo a tweak, switch it off in Frozen Tweaks: every free tweak has an undo switch. Most switches set a standard Windows value, a few tweaks can only be partly undone, and a few Pro tweaks are one-way. To undo the Pro one-click run, roll back to the restore point it made first, with Windows System Restore.

How do I undo a single tweak?

  1. Switch it off

In Frozen Tweaks, find the tweak and switch it off. Switching off works on every plan, also after Pro ends.

  2. Restart if needed

Some changes only go away fully after a restart. If one still seems active, restart your PC once.

What switching off does depends on the tweak. The tweak catalog labels each one:

  • Yes (149 tweaks): switching it off sets a standard Windows value, which may not be exactly how you had it.
  • Partial (13 tweaks): switching it off leaves Windows different from how it ships. The catalog says why for each one.
  • One-way (15 tweaks, all Pro): switching it off leaves the change in place. Most remove built-in apps, like the Xbox apps or Clipchamp, or clear startup entries.

Each tweak explainer, such as Disable Game DVR, also shows how to undo it by hand.

How do I roll back the one-click run?

The Pro one-click run is one long list of changes, so it has no switch per change. Its way back is the Windows restore point it makes before it changes anything. Rolling back to it brings back most Windows settings.

  1. Open System Restore

Press Windows key + R, type rstrui.exe and press Enter. Or open Control Panel, select Recovery and choose Open System Restore.

  2. Pick the Frozen Tweaks restore point

Select Next, then the restore point named FrozenTweaks with the date and time of the run, for example FrozenTweaks_20261001_1432. Scan for affected programs shows which programs Windows will remove or bring back.

  3. Finish and restart

Select Next, then Finish. Windows restarts and puts system files and settings back to that point. Your documents, pictures and other personal files stay as they are.

What doesn't the restore point bring back?

The built-in Store apps the run removes. You can reinstall most of them from the Microsoft Store, and Edge from microsoft.com. A few that Microsoft has retired can't be reinstalled. The list of removed Store apps names each one.

Programs and drivers you installed after the restore point may be removed by the rollback. Scan for affected programs shows which ones before you start.

Questions

Do I keep my tweaks if I cancel Pro?

Yes. The tweaks you applied stay in Windows, and you can switch any of them off at any time. The one-click run, the game profiles and Frozen AI stop when your paid period ends.

Can I undo the one-click run one change at a time?

No. The run has no switch per change. Its way back is the restore point it makes first, which undoes the run as a whole.

Do the game profiles undo too?

Yes. Switching the Fortnite or VALORANT profile off undoes its changes, except the fullscreen compatibility flags it clears.

Does rolling back remove Frozen Tweaks?

Not if you installed it before the run, which is the usual order: the run makes its restore point after that. Scan for affected programs shows anything Windows would remove.
