# WpcMonSvc: disabling the Parental Controls service

**Short answer:** WpcMonSvc enforces Microsoft Family Safety limits on child accounts: screen time, app and web restrictions. This tweak disables it. It sets the WpcMonSvc service to Disabled.

In the app the switch is called "Disable Parental Controls", described there as: Disables WpcMonSvc to remove background filtering hooks.
