# ToastEnabled 0: turning off Windows notifications so nothing pops up in a game

**Short answer:** ToastEnabled is the per-user switch for notification banners. Set to 0, apps can no longer show toasts on screen. In the registry it sets ToastEnabled to 0 under HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\PushNotifications.

ToastEnabled is the per-user switch for notification banners. Set to 0, apps can no longer show toasts on screen.

In the app the switch is called "Disable Notifications (Quiet OS)", described there as: Turns off toast notifications to prevent UI wakeups.
