# Disable mouse acceleration in Windows: MouseSpeed, MouseThreshold1 and MouseThreshold2

**Short answer:** 'Enhance pointer precision' is Windows mouse acceleration: the faster you move the mouse, the further the pointer travels. MouseSpeed, MouseThreshold1 and MouseThreshold2 set to 0 turn it off, so the same hand movement always gives the same pointer movement. In the registry it sets MouseSpeed to 0 under HKCU\Control Panel\Mouse, and 2 more values.

'Enhance pointer precision' is Windows mouse acceleration: the faster you move the mouse, the further the pointer travels. MouseSpeed, MouseThreshold1 and MouseThreshold2 set to 0 turn it off, so the same hand movement always gives the same pointer movement.

Switch the tweak off in Frozen Tweaks. It writes MouseSpeed back to 1, MouseThreshold1 back to 6, MouseThreshold2 back to 10.
