# ShowSyncProviderNotifications 0: removing OneDrive ads from File Explorer

**Short answer:** File Explorer can show banners from sync providers, which in practice means OneDrive and Microsoft 365 offers. ShowSyncProviderNotifications set to 0 turns them off. In the registry it sets ShowSyncProviderNotifications to 0 under HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced.
