# Disable Bluetooth services (bthserv, BTAGService) when you do not use Bluetooth

**Short answer:** bthserv is the Bluetooth Support Service and BTAGService handles Bluetooth audio. This tweak sets both to Disabled, so Windows no longer scans for or connects to Bluetooth devices. It sets the BTAGService, bthserv services to Disabled.

## In the app

- Switch: Disable Bluetooth (if unused) (Debloat, Pro, Advanced)
- Undo: Yes. Switching it off sets a standard Windows value, which may not be exactly how you had it.
- Catalog row: https://frozentweaks.com/tweaks#t-1040

## When it helps

- PCs that never use Bluetooth, and 2.4 GHz setups where Bluetooth scanning interferes with a wireless mouse or Wi-Fi.

## When it hurts

- Every Bluetooth device stops working: controllers, headsets, mice and phone links.

## What it writes

| `bthserv` (Bluetooth Support Service) | Disabled | Manual |

sc config "bthserv" start= disabled
```
Put it back:
```bat
sc config "BTAGService" start= demand
sc config "bthserv" start= demand
```
