# MaintenanceDisabled: turning off Windows Automatic Maintenance

Automatic Maintenance is the daily window in which Windows runs updates, security scans, disk optimization and diagnostics when it thinks the PC is idle. MaintenanceDisabled set to 1 switches the schedule off.
