# DisallowShaking 1: turning off Aero Shake (shake to minimize)

**Short answer:** Aero Shake minimizes every other window when you shake one by its title bar. DisallowShaking set to 1 turns that off. In the registry it sets DisallowShaking to 1 under HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced.

Aero Shake minimizes every other window when you shake one by its title bar. DisallowShaking set to 1 turns that off.
